Manually categorize accounts

Whenever possible, we recommend automating your data tracking in Vitally. But, you may very well find times when you simply need to manually adjust a customer's MRR or subscription status, or other information like segments or the assigned CSM.

Edit within an Account profile

To manually edit an Account's subscription data navigate to the account's profile and select Change Subscription Details and/or Edit Account.

Edit multiple Accounts in a View

Select the accounts you'd like to edit in the Accounts view and then use the actions available at the bottom of the screen.
When editing multiple Accounts in a View, the following actions are available:
  • Change Segments: Add/remove an account from segments
  • Start Conversations: Choose to start conversations with Account Owners, All Users, or Specific Users using Audience Filters
  • Change Subscription Details: Update subscription status, MRR, First Date with Revenue, and Next Renewal Date
  • Assign to a Teammate: Change the CSM or AE assigned to the Account
  • Update Traits: Select a trait(s) and make a universal change to all selected Accounts
  • Delete Accounts: Permanently delete the selected accounts

Bulk actions: 'Select All' in a View

When in a View, you can use the Select All box at the top-left of the view to bulk edit all entries within that View.
When in an Account View, the bulk actions available are:
  • Start Conversations: Choose to start conversations with Account Owners, All Users, or Specific Users using Audience Filters
  • Assign to a Teammate: Change the CSM or AE assigned to the Account
  • Update Traits: Select a trait(s) and make a universal change to all selected Accounts
User data can similarly be updated using the same 3 methods - within individual profiles, by selecting multiple Users in a view, and using Select All bulk actions.
