June Release Notes

Task Templates, AI Conversation Summaries, and Outlook Calendar

Written by Rachel Sheldon

Key Releases

Task Templates

Stop recreating the same Tasks across your Projects and Playbooks, and start using Task Templates for all your most common to-do’s. Admins and Leaders can create reusable team-wide templates, while Team Members can build private templates for their own workflows.

Task Templates can include a pre-set assignee, status, due date, and custom property defaults. Templates are available anywhere you create a Task — Task Table Views, the 360 action bar, quick create, Docs, Meetings, Project Templates, and Playbooks. With this, we’ve also released the ability to clone a Task directly from the Task slideout.

AI Conversation Summaries

Conversations with three or more messages now include a summary generated by AI Copilot at the top, so you can catch up on long email threads at a glance instead of scrolling through every message. This summary surfaces the key context, blockers, and next steps, so you can get up to speed in seconds.

Additional Releases

AI Copilot Task Assignment

AI Copilot can now assign Tasks to specific team members when you ask it to, so you can easily delegate work or collaborate with your team.

Email Recipient Selection in AI Copilot

AI Copilot can now set both internal and external recipients on Conversation drafts, saving you a step when you're drafting outbound messages.

Reconnect Banners for Integrations

Vitally now displays banners that guide you to reconnect an integration when one needs attention. For user-level integrations like Google and Outlook, the banner appears for the affected user. For all other integrations, the banner appears for admins only, so the right person sees the message.

NPS Responses in Formula Traits

Formula Traits now support NPS Responses as an aggregation source. You can calculate the average score, response counts, or the latest rolled-up score, then surface those as Account and Organization traits for reporting, segmentation, and workflows.

Revenue Trait Source

Revenue properties (MRR, ARR, Renews At, and Last Renewed At) now include an info tooltip identifying the source each value is pulled from, so you can pinpoint which integration or user is setting your revenue numbers.

Update Team Names & Emails

Admins can now update their team members’ names and emails directly in Settings, no support ticket required. This is useful for SSO domain migrations or fixing invalid emails that prevent a user from logging in.

Filter Users by Tracked Account /Organization

You can now filter Table Views of Users by “Tracked Accounts” and “Tracked Organizations,” making it easy to identify which Users are associated with multiple Accounts/Orgs.

Search Goal Templates

Vitally users with large Goal Template libraries can now search for the template they need by name instead of scrolling the full list in Settings.

Descriptions in Table Column Headers

Column headers for Playbooks, Segments, Custom Objects, and Collab Doc Templates now show a description icon when a description is set. Hover over it to read the full description without leaving the table.

Email Bounce Protection

For large email batches, Vitally now sends an initial subset and briefly pauses to process bounces before sending the rest, then auto-pauses if bounce rates are high. This protects your sending reputation and improves deliverability on high-volume campaigns.

Integration Releases

Outlook Calendar Integration

Outlook users can now sync their meetings into Vitally with the native Outlook Calendar integration, so you can see every customer touchpoint in a single place and use AI Copilot to generate actionable takeaways and quick follow-ups.

Filter Slack Notifications by Account/Org

Cut down alert fatigue by filtering Slack notifications by Account or Organization, so you only see the updates that matter to you. You can also add more object-specific filters (e.g. Task filters when a Task is created) to build precise notification rules instead of catch-alls.

Custom External ID for Intercom Companies

Admins can now choose which Intercom company field Vitally uses as the customer external ID, including custom attributes. This gives you more control to avoid duplicates and match existing records.

HubSpot Lifecycle Stage Options in Filters

HubSpot Lifecycle Stage options now surface directly within import filters, so the correct underlying values are stored automatically and your display and API values stay in sync.

New REST APIs for Custom Object Parents and Task Projects

Two new endpoint pairs for the REST API are now available: POST and DELETE to add or remove Account and Organization parent associations on a Custom Object Instance, and POST and DELETE to attach a Task to a Project (optionally on a named milestone) or remove it.
