CSV Export Overview
Your data is yours, so you can export it at any time! Anything that can be exported will have an export icon on the right top that looks like a box with a down arrow in the middle. This will be emailed to the person who triggered the export.
Most Vitally data can be exported, but if you cannot export something you need, please get in touch with Support.
What can I export to CSV?
Table Views
You can export any Table View (e.g., Accounts, Tasks, Projects)! Create a Table View, add any filters to narrow down your results, and select the columns you want displayed by selecting the column picker on the top right. Any displayed data will be included in your export. When exporting customer tables, you'll have the option of exporting historical revenue data as well.
When exporting a Tasks view, a description column is included in the export containing each task's description content.
Vitally Team Members
You can export all internal Vitally Team Members, including active, auto-created, and deactivated profiles. The export will include all team members, including deactivated and auto-created ones. The team member's license type and role will be specified in the export. Two-Factor Authentication status is included in the twoFactorAuthStatus column, which shows enabled or disabled for each team member. Any team member traits will also be included.
Traits
Want to export all your Account or Organization traits? Go to settings > Accounts (or Organizations) > Traits > and export them.

FAQ
Q: I'm not getting the export email, what's going on?
A: You may be unsubscribed! Please get in touch with Support via in-app chat or by emailing support@vitally.io so we can check your email status and resolve the issue.
Q: The export ended up in my spam folder, why?
A: Email providers, such as Gmail, set up some barriers to protect you from spam emails. Additionally, your own company may set up custom barriers to ensure spam doesn't make it to your inbox. The best way to resolve this is to mark the email as not spam so your email client can learn that emails from Vitally are not spam!
Q: It's taking a long time/took a long time to arrive to my email, why?
A: The more data you export, the longer it takes to generate. Exports of several hundred thousand records usually arrive within a few hours, and in rare cases can take up to 24 hours. To get your data faster, filter your Table View further and export in smaller sets.
Q: How long is the download link in my export email valid?
A: The download link is valid for one hour after the email arrives in your inbox. After that, the link no longer works. Request the export again and download the file within the hour.
Q: I clicked the download link and got an error. What happened?
A: The most common cause is an expired link, since links stop working one hour after the email arrives. Request the export again and download it within that window. This is not caused by your export permissions: if your role is not allowed to export, the export icon is unavailable and no email is sent at all.
Q: My browser or computer showed a security warning when I downloaded the CSV. Is that from Vitally?
A: No. Vitally does not show a warning when you download an export. Warnings like this come from your device, browser, VPN, or your company's security tooling, which commonly flag CSV downloads. Vitally's export files are encrypted in transit. If your company's security tooling is blocking the download, check with your IT team.
