Viewing Related Objects in Slide-outs
When a Playbook or AI Copilot action creates one object in response to another — for example, a meeting that triggers a Playbook which creates a follow-up Task — Vitally now surfaces that connection directly in the slide-out, so you can see and navigate between related objects without searching for them separately.
The Related tab
Every activity and custom object slide-out has a Related tab, alongside existing tabs like Overview, Activity, Docs, and Comments. It can show up to three sections, always in this order, and each only appears when it has content:
Playbooks Triggered By — Playbooks this object triggered
Belongs To — the single object that triggered this object's creation
Objects Created From — everything this object went on to create via a Playbook or AI action
What you'll see depending on the object
The tab adapts based on the object's relationships:
No relationships: a plain "No related objects yet" message — no sections render
Triggered other things: only "Objects Created From" appears — for example, a meeting that triggered a Playbook which created a Task, Conversation, and Note
Was created by something: only "Belongs To" appears, with exactly one item — a created object can only ever have one trigger
Both: "Belongs To" appears first, then "Objects Created From" — for example, a Task created by a meeting-triggered Playbook that itself then created a Conversation
Viewing Playbook runs on triggering objects
If an object triggered one or more Playbooks, the Playbooks Triggered By section lists each run:
The Playbook name, with a caret to expand or collapse
A status badge (Completed, Waiting, Paused, Stopped) aligned to the right
A three-dot menu with Stop and Undo, so you can manage the run without leaving the slide-out
Expanding a run shows a summary line — "Matched the rules and entered this Playbook [date]" — followed by every action the run applied, using the same components as the Playbook builder:
Creation actions (Create Task, Create Project, Create Doc, etc.) link directly to what they created
Value-change actions (Update Trait, Assign Key Role) show the previous value → the current value
Conditional actions (branches, waits) show a short description of the logic reached
Clicking the Playbook name at the top of an expanded run takes you directly into the Playbook builder with that specific run highlighted, so you can see the full execution path.
Related object cards
Each item in "Belongs To" or "Objects Created From" is displayed as a clickable card:
Object type icon and object name
Descriptive text explaining how the relationship was created — for example, "Post-Meeting Action Items Playbook created this Task," or "This Task was created from this Meeting"
Creation date, right-aligned
The entire card is clickable and navigates directly to that object's slide-out. Items within a section are sorted by creation date, most recent first.
Good to know
Relationships are created automatically — you can't manually link objects that weren't connected through a Playbook or AI action
Relationships are permission-aware — you'll only see related objects you already have access to
Two objects created by the same run aren't related to each other, only to the object that triggered the run
Only relationships created going forward are captured — there's no historical backfill for existing objects
If a related object is later deleted, it simply disappears from the list; there's no placeholder for it
