🗒️November Release Notes

Fresh out the oven, check out what's new in Vitally

November 2023

New Features

Introducing: Jira Integration (Beta) 🎉

You can now manage and track issues between Vitally and Jira! This feature is currently a one-way sync and allows you to pull all Jira Issues into Vitally as Custom Objects. Learn more about how to enable the integration here.

Introducing Boards: Organize and Manage Tasks with Ease

We’re excited to introduce Boards, a new View type that allows CS teams to create Kanban-style, drag-and-droppable views for easier task management and beyond. With Boards, teams can now visualize their tasks and more in a single glance.

Common use cases include:

  • Manage your tasks based on status

  • Organize tasks across your book of business

  • Visualize opportunities throughout your pipeline

  • Track escalations based on priority level

Take an interactive tour and learn more about this feature in our blog post!

Hubs Updates

Note: If you are not using Vitally’s new Hubs experience yet, read this article or reach out to your Vitally admin to learn more. We will be sunsetting the legacy Vitally experience and migrating all accounts over to the new 'Hubs' platform on December 31, 2023.

Simplified Hub Cloning

The "Clone this Hub" modal has been replaced with a simplified version, including information that helps explain how Hub cloning works.

Existing Views Enhancement

When adding a new View to your Hub, you’ll now see that the "Existing Views" tab populates with your most recently-created Views. This makes it easy to quickly select and add Views to your Hub without needing to enter a search term.

You’ll also see Account and Organization logos next to each View so you can better distinguish between views that have the same name (e.g., Docs or Projects created from Playbook automation).

Docs Updates

Easily Share Docs with a Public Link

Docs are now shareable via a public link! On the top right corner of your Doc → click “Share” → click “Anyone with the link can view”. From here, you’ll be able to copy the link to your public Doc and share it with others. This offers external users read-only access.

The anonymous (public) view of a Doc will also feature a “Log In” button so that invited users can request a link to the Doc in order to interact with it (e.g., leave comments, fill in Traits, etc.).

Doc Mentions

External Users can no longer mention every Vitally User in the Doc they were invited to; now they can only mention Users who are related to the Docs that have been shared with them.

Playbook Updates

Run Actions on Churned Customers

Previously, churned customers could not be targeted by specific Playbook actions. Now, all Playbook actions can be run on churned enrollees — send emails, set tasks, and win back your churned customers with Vitally's powerful automation.

We've also made it much easier to identify whether churned accounts have been enrolled in a Playbook. You'll now see a list for non-churned and churned accounts under 'Matching audience'.

Note: All Playbooks created on or after 12/8/23 will run all actions on churned enrollees. Playbooks created prior to 12/8/23 are not affected by this change.

Additional Updates

Set Display Names for Traits

You can now configure a Trait’s display name to be different from its original value. For example, if you have a Trait that is a lengthy or complex ID, you can then configure a more legible name to display throughout Vitally.

CC and BCC Key Roles in Conversations

You can now CC and BCC any Key Role when manually starting a Conversation or configuring a Conversation from a Playbook!

UI/UX Improvements

As part of our efforts to enhance your platform experience, we've released a number of UI/UX improvements along with various bug fixes this month, including:

  • Draft Behavior: Updated Note, Task, Conversation, and Custom Object drafts so that the latest unsaved change a user views will be stored to the draft instead of the last changes they made. This should improve the experience when working on or creating multiple objects in different tabs.

  • Display “Creator” of Views: Added the creator of a View to the list of users with permissions to view/edit the View in the Table, Boards, Dashboards, and Docs “Share” modal. Also, added the creator of a Hub to the list of Hub Members in the “Hub settings” modal.
